Leonardo Piccione (1987) was born in the middle of winter in the Apulian Murgia. After a PhD in Statistics he realized it was time to accompany numbers with words. Author of narrative and sports reportages for various Italian magazines, he has been cultivating for years a special relationship with Iceland, of which he has explored nature and culture. His life is currently split between Corato and Húsavík, where, while waiting for an eruption, has written The book of Icelandic volcanoes, published in Italy in 2019.
